Access Statement Exterior: Holme House offers 1 parking space per room. The parking area is level with well maintained tarmac surface. The entrance to the B&B is a short walk from the car park, with four narrow steps up from the car park Ð alternative access can be obtained by walking out of our car park to the front of the property in New Road and through the wrought iron gate, there is a circular path with a slight incline with 2 shallow steps leading to the front door Ð there are a further two shallow steps at the front entrance door. Interior: There are two guest rooms on the ground floor and one on the lower ground floor, the apartment is accessed by its own entrance from the cobbled courtyard leading off the car park. There are 13 steps descending to lower ground floor bedroom. There is a handrail on the right hand side. There is a fire exit door in the lower ground floor bedroom which opens directly out on to the cobbled courtyard at the side of the property. Park Room: A king sized guest room on the ground floor accessed through the guests lounge with en suite bathroom consisting of a bath with separate height adjustable shower head over with glass shower screen , wash basin with twist taps and low level WC. The bedroom as lighting at the bedside and a range of storage at various height levels available. There is a wall mounted flat screen TV and DVD player with remote control. Bed is 5 ft width with a memory foam mattress. Courtyard Room: A king sized guest room on the ground floor accessed through the guests lounge with spacious en suite shower room consisting of a large step in shower cubicle with integral seat and height adjustable shower head, wash basin with twist taps and low level WC. The bedroom has lighting at the bedside and a range of storage at various heights available. There is a flat screen TV and DVD player with remote control. Bed is 5ft width with a sprung mattress. FIRE ESCAPE DOOR IS ADJACENT TO BOTH BEDROOM DOORS Twin/Super-king room: The guest room is on the lower ground floor with en suite shower room consisting of a large rectangular step in shower cubicle with integrated seat and height adjustable shower head. Wash basis with lever taps and low level WC. The bedroom has two single beds with ÔstresslessÕ mattresses- these beds can be joined together to form a super king- sized bed (6ft wide). The bedroom has lighting at the bedside and a range of storage at various heights available. There is a wall mounted flat screen TV and DVD with remote control. Fire escape door leading directly from bedroom to courtyard beyond. Breakfast Room / Guests Lounge On the ground floor with level access to main entrance, room is well lit and has room for manoeuvre. Please note bedroom doors are of standard width. Apartment: The apartment has its own entrance which is located off the cobbled court yard leading from the car park. There is a lounge with windows overlooking the car park to one wall a flat screen TV and DVD with remote control. Bathroom consists of bath with grab rails and shower head suitable for hair washing only, wash basin with twist taps and low level WC. A range of storage is available at various heights. The bedroom has lighting at the bedside. The beds consist of two 4ft 6inch beds with sprung mattresses. Additional information: Holme House has an audible fire alarm system in every room Ð if specific requirements are needed in the event of an emergency, please discuss this with us on arrival. We would like to advise our guests that we are committed to the issue of disability access but this is restricted due to the structure of the period building. Holme House will continue to assess and improve where possible, disabled access whenever opportunities become available.
