TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We look forward to welcoming you. When you make your booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

Payment Details

For all bookings we require a deposit of £20.00 per person to confirm the booking. Would you please make sure that this reaches us within 10 days of making the booking. We will send you a letter or e mail confirming the booking and detailing the outstanding balance. The balance is due on departure.

Prices

The price includes accommodation and breakfast. There are also complementary tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms. We accept payment in cash, personal cheques and debit /credit cards. Please make cheques payable to Holme House.

Cancellation and Insurance

Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you have paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us as soon as possible.

For cancellations made up to 7 days before the booking you will not be liable to the total balance. For cancellations made within this time you will be liable for the total amount. (Every effort will be made to re-let the room and adjust the charge accordingly.) Failure to take up the booking without cancelling will make you liable for the total amount. For this reason you may wish to consider taking out cancellation insurance.

Non-availability

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival

Your accommodation will available to you from 4pm on your day of arrival unless otherwise arranged. Please let us know if you are to arrive after 8pm. Should you wish to arrive earlier, to park or drop off luggage, please let us know in advance.

Departure

Rooms must be vacated and the bill settled by 11am on your day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Should you wish to leave luggage, or park after your departure time, please let us know in advance.

Damages and Breakages

Please take care of our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you or members of your party cause. Please let us know of any instances as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice if the damage or breakage is significant.

Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to you or any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, how so ever caused unless it is proven to have been caused by a negligent act by ourselves or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Data

Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.

Guests

Use of facilities at Holme House are intended for people staying in the accommodation only.

Security

Please ensure that the front door is locked when you leave and return after 8pm.
